Golden State Tattoo Expo 2020 - Part 1

Touching down at LAX is always an amazing feeling - the sun, the palm trees, and the warm weather feel so good, especially when it's 35 degrees and cloudy in New Jersey. And for the past two years I have made this lovely pilgrimage to Southern California for the annual Golden State Tattoo Expo sponsored by Inked Magazine at the Pasadena Convention Center, in Pasadena.

Each year the Tattoo Industry descends upon this cozy city about 20 minutes northeast of downtown Los Angeles. In the center, Old Pasadena is a shopping and dining district known for its Victorian and art deco buildings. This place is beautiful!!

The strikingly modern Norton Simon Museum houses notable European and Asian art, plus a sculpture garden. The Rose Bowl is a sports stadium known for hosting the Rose Bowl Game, an annual college football clash usually held on January 1.

And not too far away from these attractions and the center of the city is The Pasadena Convention Center, where the Tattoo World calls home for three glorious days and nights of skin, ink, music, creativity, with of bit debauchery and whole lot of weed smoking! It's a spectacle that every tattoo fan and collector should get to experience at least once in their lifetime.

With such industry giants as Carlos Torres, Nikko Hurtado, Stefano Alcantara, Steve Butcher, Sam Barber, Angel Rose, Golden State has so much to offer.

Along with hundreds of tattoo artists, vendors from all over the world line the rows inside convention hall displaying and selling their wares. Ultimate Tattoo Supply, World Famous Ink, Sullen Art Collective, as well as many more tattoo and non-tattoo related companies are present to keep you engaged and entertained for hours.

If you happen to be in the area or a short drive away (which I'm not sure really exists in and around Los Angeles), come by and check out an experience you are not likely to forget.
